Launched in 1958, Explorer 1 was the first manmade satellite the US put into space. Built at JPL and launched atop a Redstone rocket, the Explorer 1 orbited Earth for about 5 months before re-entering Earth's atmosphere and burning up.

These beautiful 10"x10" giclee prints are part of our new "Science and Nature" collection! Printed with Epson ultrachrome HD inks on Epson fine art paper, each print is hand signed and numbered in an edition of 100 pieces.
